The Being Out There team has spent years on the road, venturing into places uncharted and interiors where the moon outshines all the other lights. Their traveling has taken them from the Far East Himalayan bastions of Arunachal Pradesh, Sikkim, Darjeeling to the northern most heights of India, Ladakh, Kashmir, Uttarakhand and their homeland Himachal Pradesh. Years of organizing world class adventure events has established the team as one of the best in the business when it comes to logistics planning, conceptualizing, sponsorships and securing the relevant government permissions. This hands on experience draws its expertise from years of nurturing at events which have certainly been benchmarks in their field of sport, be it the Himalayan Car Rally (where the team as kids contributed as Marshals in 1988, 1989 learning the nuances of big events) The Great Hornbill Raid (Arunachal Pradesh) and other motorsport events. In 2004 the team was the foundation for establishing Mountain Biking Himachal, then India’s only Mountain cycling adventure. This association continued till 2012, after which the team evolved into organizing other multi adventure events.
Line Production for reality shows, movies and soaps fell into the lap of Team Being Out There, but naturally, owing to their in depth knowledge of the terrain and experience in organizing events. It all started with ‘MISSION ARCTIC’ televised on ‘National Geographic Channel’ in March/April 2012. The team conceptualized the adventure tasks and scouted the best locations for the reality show. Mission arctic involved 8 participants who started their journey from Shimla and ended it in Spiti valley, doing multi adventure tasks on the way, cycling through their 700 kms journey into the heartland of the Trans- Himalaya. It started with the trek through the Shimla Catchment sanctuary, Ziplining at Narkanda, Rafting at Luhri on the Sutlej, Waterfall climbing at Kinnu near Sarahan, Cliff Traversing, Kayaking and snow survival in Rakcham in Sangla valley, Rappelling down 200 feet at Kiran Khud in lower Kinnaur, River crossing at Dubling, Mane wall building at Dhankar Monastery and finally snow Climbing at Kunzum Pass. All these tasks and the necessary logistics for the shoot were looked after by Team Being Out There.
If Mission Arctic was a success and a niche adventure show, the team was the choice of Bindaas UTV channel to line produce their general entertainment reality show BIG SWITCH 4. The same was line produced by Being Out There in Himachal Pradesh (Shimla and Dharamshala). Being Out There laid the foundation of the show with setting up the base camp for the 12 participants and the crew (huge swiss style cottage tents with attached bathrooms) and other art set up. The team also contributed in selecting the jobs which the participants would do. BIG SWITCH 4 was shot during the month of November/December in Himachal Pradesh.
Being Out There understands the needs of the creative and the production teams, which goes into developing a show or a movie. With its experience it has the set up props which are required for a shoot, be it a generator or taking care of the crew with a tight schedule and delivering everything to the clock. The team can also arrange for junior castings and also help procure other necessary film equipment (cameras and sound). With its own in house set up the team is well equipped to handle crews upto 200 people spread over different locations. We scout for you the best locations anywhere in North India in the Himalayas to your needs and provide all the necessary logistics support. Government permissions are our area of expertise and we ensure that the shoot of a movie or a show proceeds unhindered by lacunas which are usually faced due to permissions. Safety of the crew and crowd control are managed well by our team with its associations with the local police and private security agencies.
All said and explained, we look forward to your requirements with in depth detail and strive to provide the best services a line producer can provide any where. For any enquiries and details about locations please do not hesitate to communicate with us.
