About Us

‘Being Out There’ evokes joy. That is our inspiration, our work ethic and our driving force. Our passion fuels the path to exploration and enjoyment of the outdoors through active participation. Whether the road to self-discovery or just wanderlust, our inspiring odysseys evoke joy, like raindrops on mud, like ripples on still water, by experiencing myriad Himalayan cultures and hidden destinations. As we live out our dream each day, we invite you to share our experiences, by participating in explorations and adventures that not only sparkle, but resonate for a long time.

What do we do?
We curate experiences in the outdoors.
Imagine! The making and tasting of jaggery (‘Gud’) at a sugarcane farm in a village in Punjab, Cycling to the world’s highest post office, Orienteering in one of the thickest forests in Asia, learning the skill of brick making, learning and trying the regional cuisine of the Himalayas, learning to practice healing yoga in forests. Experiences and myriad cultures of the Himalayas, Legends and folklore, Music and Dance. All this and more!

From planning and conducting outdoor adventures in the Himalayas (treks, mountain cycling trips, roadtrips), Conceptualizing, planning and organizing outdoors events (mountain cycling competitive races, motorsports, trail running), line production for television and films (location scouting, permissions, creative inputs, logistics management).

“Being Out There” started with a dream, a dream of wild abandon. What was launched as an escape from our 9 to 5 routine turned into a long journey. In the mountains the trails turned inwards, the rivers overflowed with joy, and there we were, waving at children, rediscovering our own innocence, awakening the child within. Thus was born Being Out There, where passion fuels the path to exploration and enjoyment of mountain wilderness through active participation. Whether the road to self-discovery or just wanderlust, our inspiring odysseys evoke joy, like raindrops on mud, like ripples on still water, by experiencing myriad Himalayan cultures and hidden destinations. As we live out our dream each day, we invite you to share our experiences, by participating in adventures that not only sparkle, but resonate for a long time. Come along for the ride, along borderless horizons, into the realm of “out there”. And as “Kipling” quotes in “The Explorer” – “Something hidden. Go and find it. Go and look behind the ranges – Something lost behind the ranges. Lost and waiting for you. Go.

  • I recently did the Offbeat Himachal Road trip with the Being Out There team. Impeccable services, with attention to the small details and best chosen route and accomodations through out. Goes to show the amount of research they put into their trips. Will be joining them for their popular cycling trips soon.
